Our Debut Single “300 We Are” – A Tribute to True Rock and the Fight for Freedom

We are 300 ROCK, and we are thrilled to announce our very first release: the single “300 We Are”, available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and others as of 14th March 2025. With two electrifying tracks, we deliver a powerful musical statement – celebrating authentic hard rock music and the universal values of freedom and unity. 

An Anthem for Rock’n’Roll

The title track, “300 We Are”, is our passionate tribute to the essence of true rock’n’roll. Stripped of unnecessary frills, it highlights what really matters: raw, honest music that brings people together. Rock is more than just entertainment – it’s a way of life, driven by passion, conviction, and a sense of community.

Our second track, “Tonight We Dine in Hell”, goes beyond music. Inspired by the legendary quote from the movie 300, it is our tribute to those who fight for freedom and democracy – from the ancient Spartans to today’s defenders of Ukraine. Read the lyrics the bottom of this page.

We wrote this song specifically as a moral support for the fighters in Ukraine, placing them in the historical context of great defenders of democracy. Their courage and determination deserve recognition, and this song stands as a symbol of strength and solidarity.

The single’s artwork reflects its message:

The front cover features a Spartan warrior with a Gibson SG, symbolizing unbreakable will and the spirit of rock’n’roll. The back cover captures us live on stage, fully immersed in our element.

We stand for honesty, freedom and the power of unity – values that resonate not only in our music but also in our commitment to meaningful causes. It has not yet been decided whether there will also be a limited CD edition alongside the digital release.

Tonight We Dine In Hell

Since the battle around Mariupol and Azovstal, Peter had the desire to write a song and honor the heroes from Sparta to the Ukraine who risked or gave their lives for freedom and democracy. In 2022 when we played at Gleis 21 we dedicated ‘300 We Are’ to them but he still wanted a song written specifically for them. After a long time not finding the right words, he made an experiment.

He was curious what ChatGPT would produce if he prompted ‘Write an AC/DC song with the title „tonight we dine in hell“. Write it to honor the heroes of the 300 Spartans and the Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives for freedom and democracy’.

The result blew his mind.

When he read the lines, he intuitively knew the melody for the lyrics and the intro riff, which you can hear in the song. The lyrics were so good that we just had top work with them, despite our reluctance to use AI in our song writing.

With a few adjustments we decided to use those lyrics, but we added our own music. We hope that you like it and that it inspires at least some of the brave ones in Ukraine not to give up to tyranny but to keep defending their country and our freedom.
